Dedh Ishqiya - love bites

The duo hoodlums are back in their pillages, but the train of these ruffians- the uncle and the nephew never seems to arrive at the proper destination but keep passing through bizarre amatory stations in their life.
This time it is the station of Mahmudabad, where Begum Para with the aid of her confidant Muniyaa is trying to find a poetic Nawab for the city through Mushaira. The lustrous palace and the charming beauty of
Muniyaa and Begum Para entice the duo to implement another of their scheme. Of course there is an antagonist Jaan Mohammad who wants to woo female lead through animosity.

Ignoring the few glitches in the screenplay the movie can be branded as immaculate and wholesomely entertaining. There is a witticism in almost every scene and makes you laugh due the presence of superlative actors in the frames. Special mention to the scene where the gang members of Jaan Mohammad and our duo waits overnight in order to avoid surrender. It was dumb, but creative and laudable.

The rusted city of Mahmudabad has been captured in great depth specially the enormous semi haunted villa of the Nawab. The songs are decent but the pick of the album are “Dil ke Mizaaj” and "Hamari Atariya". One needs to have an articulate command on the language of Urdu to be mesmerized in the poetries.

Abhishek Chaubey – hands town deserves applauses to create a cyaniding and intriguing plot per frame. Regardless of the comparison from the previous movie, the expressions in every frame are been seized in very transparent manner and are gorging to the eyes.

Let’s start with Huma Quershi. Her performance is just thrilling with her tranquil beauty that takes you to a dreamland. Being a rookie with only few films old it requires audacity to portray her talent in front of the industry rulers. She excels, hands down. Arshad Warsi is becoming a perfectionist when it comes to comedy with his timing and expressions. He doesn’t need a mention it is quite tacit of his perfect performance. Vijay
Raaz (one of the underrated actors) performs with ease.

Naseerudin Shah performs with gusto, in all the comic caper scenes as well as in the still emotional frames with Madhuri. I just feel that he has been portrayed a little older in front of opposite female lead. One can say this is a substantial comeback movie for Madhuri Dixit. Her beauty, her expressions and her dance will throw you speechless. The presence of the two ladies is nothing but fireworks on the big screen.

Decent Songs. Good story. Amazing performance.

Dhoom 3 Dissected

Dhoom 3. Finally out. If you are reading this then I don't need to itemize the reason behind the hype. Let me just plunge into the dissection.

When Yash Raj productions and Aamir Khan is involved into a project, one enters the theater with an sparkling expectation to get a quality cinematic experience. Both the appellations have mind boggling movies in their pocket that has escalated the Bollywood cinema quality by a notch up.

Iqbal Khan, who runs a magic show in Chicago, is fighting his financial plunging destiny. To hold on to his passion of magic and his show, he demonstrates in front of few bank officers to stall his debt and prevent bankruptcy. After being denied by a punitive officer, Iqbal Khan commits suicides leaving his son Sahir khan to be raised in the malevolent world with notion of redressing the bank officer. Hence it is quite imposed on the ingress of cops in the story hence Jai dixit and Ali (Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra).

This is not just a simple straight cop and a thief story. There are lot of emotions involved that compensates on the assimilation of few action sequences, as referring to the previous installments that were high octane action entertainers. The plot has few hiccups that are hard to digest such as - Iqbal khan shooting himself and leaving his kid to suffer but forbidding his son from begging. The action sequences very well executed (could have been better) but went in vain due to the inefficient computer graphics.

The songs are hummable, though not as par as Pritam’s former works. Aamir Khan executed the tap dance ably, whereas Katrina's performance in the title song is charismatic and only adds to the songs. The cinematography is first rate and has captured the city of Chicago effectively.

The debutant director has shown efforts in demonstrating his filming notion (especially the climax scene on the dam, the finale got me jump off my seat) however there are parts (the sequence of Jai dixit and Ali in India) where it shows of him being a rookie. The story is no doubt griping for most parts for an almost three hour film.

Katrina Kaif should get praise for transmuting her body to an acrobatic one though she is only there for emblazonments (songs) of the movie. Uday Chopra quite excels for his character, irks once a while (the requirement of his character). Abhishek Bachchan is perpetually serious through the movie, not a lot can be remarked but he works.

Needless to indicate, the movie is preponderated by to Aamir Khan (in footage and acting), he excels. He may not been able to match the sexiness of the other antiheroes from the previous installments but his attempt to portray as an astute villain works.

All in all - Poor Graphics. Good acting. Thrilling sequences. Nice Songs. Couple of twists and Decent Story.
